How do you feel if you've "irritated" your band?

I've read a couple of posts about people saying that maybe it's band irritation vs. a slippage. Can you irritate your band area and if so, what kind of symptoms would you have? I'm concerned about this after a couple of stuck episodes though I have no symptoms of slippage and am still losing weight without any saline in my band.

Thanks!

Vomiting may irritate your band. I can tell when mine is irritated because I feel intense pressure in my chest.

When I've been unkind to my band, I can tell the area swells because food gets stuck more easily.

Agree... food sticks more easliy and just not at all hungry. I think the only time I really irritated my band, I had something stuck, it took a long time to get it unstuck and I finally threw up very forcefully. (normally if i get something stuck i can just throw it up without much effort). I could not eat anything but mushies for a day or two and just was not hungry.
