I had really bad gas too and pain in my left shoulder blade. My surgery was on the 14th and the gas pains just let up yesterday and more so today. Apparently they pump your abdomen full of gas when they do the surgery and it just has to work its way out. Walking, heating pads and gas meds helped me a lot. I hear people on here all the time complaining of gas after surgery. As for the shoulder pain I think that's gas pockets that settle I know I had one settle right in the left shoulder blade. I was not happy Feel better soon : )
