Banded yesterday Feb 16th

I'm banded!!!

My surgery was scheduled for 6:30am yesterday morning I had to be at the surgery center at 5:30am. Everything went well, I was released and on my way home by 9am.

As they began the surgery they discovered I had a Hiatal Hernia and a small cyst on my stomach, they repaired the heria and sent the cyst off to the lab, I sure it will be fine. I have a lot of gas pain so I'm doing a bit of walking to help with that. I haven't experianced much pain so far, thank goodness for pain medicine.

Over all I'm feeling great!!!

Patti

  • You can try the gas-x strips.. since you can't have pills, but for me, walking was the most effective. The strips didn't do much. It's not really gas.. it's the air they use to blow up your stomach du

Patti, congrats on the surgery!! Good to see you in high spirits. Do you know if you can take an antacid (for gas) the week following surgery? :) Heather

My Doctor has suggested Gas X Strips, that's what I'm using and it seems to be working well.
