Hi, lapband friends. I received a fill on 01/27/2011 and had to get a slight unfill on 02/04/2011. Everything seem to be fine up until this am..02/15/2011. First of all I had pizza last night on Valentines, went to bed short after I ate, and woke up this morning with like heartburn. I have taken some anacids and it seems to have eased up a bit. But now everytime I eat or drink something it hurts going down. It seems as if maybe I'm esphogas is irriated or something like that. I'm going to attempt to go back on sliders to see if it will go away, do you think maybe I need another unfill? Have you experienced this? Thank you

Banded April 15th 2009.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, talk with dr today on phone, and she advised that I get prilosec also or omeprazole. She said my esphogus might be irriated and that if it doesn't get any better I can come in on Thursday( 2morrow) or Monday.. I'm not eating breads at all though..it's just anything that I eat that's solid. Keep you updated.

Well I wanted to give you all an update. I went to the dr on Thursday 17th Feb (17th) and he took the rest of the fill out that he had placed in there on the 27th of Jan which was .3. And when I tell you I'm relieved and I feel a whole lot better, it's amazing what this band can do . I guess from now own when I go he will doing small ajustments like .1 or something. Basically I was too tight.. Thanks for all your suggestions. I'm a happy camper now..:P

Glad to hear that you are feeling better with unfill -

Here are my 2 cents -

You ate pizza?

I am 22 months after surgery and still do not / can not eat pizza.< /p>

The toppings --- maybe, but def not the crust/dough.

Breads, rice, Pasta, potatoes have always been on my NO list -- and whenever I try --- it results in an horrible experience.

So try and cut out the carbs --- and stick to the Proteins and veggies/fruits.

I am a female with a 12cc band.

I can eat breads, Pasta, rice, you name it- I can eat it.

I have 9cc's in and am getting another fill next Thursday.

The only thing I have any issues with are fibrous foods and it isn't because they get stuck- my tummy just has a hard time digesting them.

My best friend who also has the band is only filled to 6cc's and cannot eat ANYTHING lap-banders are not supposed to eat, so it just goes to show. . . . .

it's different for everyone.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
