Favorite protein powders to cook with?

I recently received a cookbook with recipes geared towards people who have had weight loss surgery. A lot of the recipes call for unflavored or vanilla flavored protien powder. I have only been drinking one kind of protien drink that is premade because I know they are good and haven't ventured past that. But it's time for a change because they are becoming BORING and I'm in the process of getting motivated again and don't want to start out bored already. Would like some ideas of other ones that are also good that I could use in cooking or making my own smoothies so I have more variety than just chocolate! thanks!

I like the PURE unflavored protein from bariatriceating.com. But using whey protein in cooked foods is definitely an art--you have to temper it so that it doesn't denature, or become clumpy. If the cookbook you have does not explain how to do this, let me know and I will :)
