I have been initiated! 1st stuck episode

It was bound to happen eventually. I just didnt expect it to early. I have 5cc in a 14cc band. I probably went wrong with leftover turkey and sweet potatoes. Had Fluid building up in my mouth that no matter how many times I spit it out, it still came back. Finally decided to let it come up. Feeling much better.

My dilema is that I was to have another fill tomorrow. I am relocating from Dallas to California and thought I would have one more fill as it would probably take me awhile to get settled and find a new doctor. Now I am reconsidering my decision and may call off my fill tomorrow. Nothing worse than having another stuck episode on a new job.

Ohhh---I am so sorry this happened to you....

I haven't had a stuck episode YET........I know it is just a matter of time.

I know, from what I have read here, that after a stuck episode your stomach is irritated. I am not sure a fill right away is a good idea, but again, I don't have any first hand knowledge.

Good luck with your move!

I would still go for the fill. Just keep in mind to stick to liquids for a bit and move on to more solid stuff very slow.

Go for the fill. Turkey, especially Thanksgiving type, is tough to eat. Sweet potatoes can be tough too. It was a incident related to the type of food. If you don't get stuck on your everyday type choices, get the fill.

My 1st was just this past Saturday with salmon. Too big of bites, not chewing well, so my own fault. It wasn't as bad as it could have been but it felt miserable. Surely a learning lesson! blink.gif

I went for the fill (not because of the posts, but because I though it was the right thing to do) and had 1 cc put in. Now 5 days later I still have one side of my band that "feels" food or water going down. I am going to try to have an unfill this Thursday. I thought if I was swollen it would have gone down by now, but maybe not.
