tons and tons of help plz

Hey,

I'm 19 and my bmi is 33.5

I have been overweight since I was 13

This has been a constant struggle

I have to watch everything I eat and its still hard on me.

Out of all my friends I eat the healthiest.

yet im overweight.

I have joint pains

And Dr suspects sleeping disorder already at age 19. When I hit 25, 30, 40 or if I even make it to 50 what will b wrong than.

My family had history of diabetes, Sleep apena, heart problems, high cholesterol, high blood suger, strokes, and cardiac issues, not to mention almost all the females are obese.

I have my first lap band appointment tomorrow to see if I can get approved, does anyone think ill have a problem or any advise?

my family thinks because of my age I wont get approved but I think that I should due to help stop any problems I will have in the future. I'm doing this so I wont end up dying at a young age like my grandma.

All insurance companieis are different in what they require. Mine wants a 6 month documented in chart notes what attempts I have made at loosing weight. They also wanted a 5 year history of my weights. I just had all my papers submitted to insurance. Just waiting to hear if they approved it or not. I don't think your age will play much of a role in this. Good luck.
