Post op day 2. Was I even banded?

This may sound odd but I was banded on tuesday and yes I am sore in the shoulders and the tummy a little where the port is. However, my stomach is growling so bad! Ive been having broth and water and protein shakes but I am craving pudding or sherbert or cottage cheese! How do I know when I'm ready? I didn't know what to expect after bring banded, but I don't feel much different! Was I even banded? :)

It sounds like you just breezed through surgery! Even though you don't feel different, stay on your post -surgery diet for internal healing. All liquids for that first week is the norm and then very soft foods. You want to avoid the stomach making any kind of contractions (that it would make if given anything other than a liquid) because there are stitches there that have to heal in. At least that's how it was described to me. So take it slow, follow the diet and be patient. Distract yourself from your discomfort with good activities, time with friends, hobbies, etc. They don't call it "bandster Hell" for nothing!

Good luck on your journey!
