Scared to get hungry....

As most of you know that are reading this I will be getting an unfill tomorrow after about 3 weeks of suffering being to tight.

I'm so so so so scared that hunger will come back and attack me. I know that we should feel some amount of hunger, or how else would we know when to eat to survive. But I'm scared of the ravenous hunger that I used to have pre-band.

Is it just me? Am I being unreasonable???

Please anyone help put my mind at ease

All I can offer to you is take it one day at a time. Continue to do what you have been doing and drink LOTS of Water. Don't panic. You will have good restriction again before you know it!! Make good choices and you will be just fine :)

I have not had a fill yet so I have battle some hunger everyday. I rely on my calorie tracker to keep me honest and when I am hungry I eat! So far for 6 wks I have made good choices when hungry. I eat a Protein snack like meat or cheese or dairy. Caramel corn rice cakes have become my new "sweet." a few cocoa roast almonds really help too. Try to find and keep on hand those things to eat that are food for you.

Well, how are you doing? You have left us hanging!!! I am battling the ravenous hunger demon and have gained 10 pounds.....being unfilled completely is very hard, I am hoping you just got a small unfill and are still getting restriction.

Sorry..got caught up in the pre-holiday rush....I got a .5 unfill last friday and yes I am hungry but not so bad the problem is that I CAN EAT AGAIN.. and have started my TOM so I really cant say for sure if I have had a true gain or a TOM gain so I'm gonna wait 6-7 days and weigh myself again to tell for sure....

just remember... hunger isn't evil. everyone feels hunger at some point. just don't let yourself get SO hungry you make poor food choices. that's the key!

I had a slight unfill earlier this month and at first, I did go a bit crazy eating. I didn't realize how hungry I had been from being too tight until I was able to really eat again. I was freaked out and put on 4 pounds but over the past week I've been able to feel restriction again and have lost 1.5 lbs. I do hope to get a slight fill again at my January appt. so that I can really start losing again but, for now, just being able to mostly maintain is ok w/ me.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
