Hi everybody!!!!!

Just wanted to do a quick intro about my self here....

My name is Jose i'm 26 yrs old, I go in for my procedure this Friday Dec 17th.. I have been doing my 2 week pre-op diet and I have lost almost 20lbs and about 3 inches on my waist.

I hope to meet great people on this site that I can come to for support for after my procedure. Its been a rough 2 weeks since my days are soo long due to my job. I am a school bus driver and my day always starts at 4am leave my house @5am to go to work and I don't get home 630pm on a normal day. But on days that I have field trips that are sport related I don't get home till 11pm or even midnight-ish.... crazy many people don't know school bus drivers are out there past 5pm hahaha. But I talked to my Dr and he allowed me to have ..... well this was my original diet

Breakfast

1 Protein shake

i.e. Muscle milk

lunch

4oz Lean chicken, Turkey or Fish

1cup steamed veggies or 2 cups of raw veggies

2cups of green salad (light dressing OK lemon juice and fav seasoning)

1 cup of broth

dinner

1 Protein Shake

So he told me I can have another Protein Shake in the morning before my meal

and if its a late night for me I can have another 4oz snack

Lots of h2o.... not my fav... the first few days I drank soooo much Water it made me sick... I don't know if anyone else has felt like that.

I have talked too much....hahaha sorry

Well hope to meet lots of people on here

thanks rolleyes.gifrolleyes.gif

Hi Dr. Nick!

I too am starting my journey and I hope you're doing good! My mom works for public schools too, people underestimate how hard those jobs can be! Anyway, good luck! Stay positive!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
