2yrs after surgery- cannot eat & barely any weight loss

Hello... I'm new to this website. : ) I was looking for forums that would tell me if anyone out there has the same problems I do with my Lap-Band. Seems like there are several out there who have gone through what I'm going through or have GREAT advice!

My topic title pretty much explains it all... After being completely and utterly embarrassed to call my surgeon or the after-care center I finally did so today. I'm scheduled for X-Rays and most likely will have the Fluid taken out of my band. Then on 12/20 I'm going to have the EGD (Esophago Gastro Duodenoscopy) procedure. I am hoping to be able to get back on the program of losing weight and eating healthy (not just slider or soft foods and liquids only) again.

I really hope that all goes well so I can actually lose all this weight and no longer feel as if I wasted a TON of money on a surgery that I will regret for the rest of my life.

Happy Holidays to ALL!!!

I know exactly how you feel, i had lapband done, and did farely well, not as good as the doctorwanted me to, and his attitude drove me crazy, very mean and rude, and it was a 3hour drive to get to him so i quit going,, and then when a local doctor started doing banding i was to nervous to call and see if they would adjust other doctors bands, so i started eating soft foods because of the heartburn was so bad, and started gaining, well i broke down and called the local doctor, he did a scope to make sure that everything was ok, well i had an ulcer and a hernia at the top of the band, he took all the fluid out and now we are starting all over, sure hope it works and i can start the weight loss again and more, hang in there and hope things turn around for your too, happy holidays, tahoelady
