Good morning to all of my newly banded friends. I hope you all have a wonderful day celebrating with family and friends. Today will be my first outing since surgery. What about you? I am still on liquids, but may try some of the soup off of my aunt's chicken and dumplins. Do you older banders think this is an ok idea? I am a bit scared, but I plan on going at it REAL SLOW!!

i usually have thanksgiving at my house, so we decided to go out instead so i didn't have to clean and cook. since i didn't want to take a blender with me, i ate about a tbsp of mashed potatoes and gravy and a small bite of cranberry sauce. I was satisfied but had a hard time not drinking with my meal. We had so many left overs that about 5 hours later i ground up turkey with a little fat free gravy....it tasted pretty good, but i could only eat about 2 tbsp and i ate it so slow. i really really wanted bread! today i feel more like my old self, still worried about all this getting stuck and having an episode in public thing.....

Happy Thankgiving to you also, I was banded on the 16th, so all I had was a little bit of mashed potatoes and was satisified. ZChicken and dumplings does sound good!!! LOL
