My consultation is next week and I thought I would ask those who have been through the surgery what questions should I be asking. It seems like there is different kinds of bands, should I be asking what type he will be using? If you had to do it over again, which questions would you have asked?

i grilled my surgeon. He said no-one had ever asked him so many questions before.

I can't remember everything I asked but some of the things included.

How long would I be off work.

How long before I could drive.

What kind of band.

Why he would use that kind of band.

Likelihood of complications.

Risk of contracting MRSA

When I would get my first fill etc etc.
