Do I have to have my band unfilled to have surgery?

I am scheduled for surgery next week to fix my deviated septum. Has anyone had surgery after the band and not had it unfilled? I'm at such a good level of restriction and I don't want to mess it up!

    I have had surgery - had a lump removed from my neck....didn't have anything changed with my band --- it didn't affect mine at all.
