What is a fill ?? !!! (southeast ga kingsland, ga)

Ok I have been reading several testimonies & this may be a stupid question to some but I have to ask anyway. With the lap band for the people who have had it, what does it mean when you get a fill @ the doctors office after your surgery and what is the purpose of having that done !!!

Hi, and welcome to LBT!

It doesn't sound like you've had a lot of information about the band available to you yet. A "fill" is an adjustment, as in "adjustable gastric band." The band is adjusted by way of adding or taking away Fluid from the bladder that encircles the stomach.

Fills are given on a personalized, as-needed basis. Visit www.inamed.com for the basic information on how the band works.
