I was just banded one week ago today. Still on Full Liquid Diet. So far so good. Would like to have a buddy &/or mentor that is in my area of NE Kansas. I live in Topeka.:smile:

I would be happy to "mentor" you! I am here in Topeka, too, as you know. :-)

My mom got the lapband a few months before I did - and it helped me a LOT that I was able to follow in her shoes....knowing better what to expect and what was "normal", you know? Some of my friends have recently been banded, too, and they come to me with the same types of questions...also we have found teh support groups at the hospital are full of fabulous information, too....even for folks like me over a year out.

sounds great! I have been looking for samples of pureed diets. The Dr's office told me today that I could start pureed diet and that by the time I go in for my 6 week post op appt I should be eating regular foods for a couple of weeks before. Then they would determine if I need a fill or not.

What were your favorite things to fix? How did you manage at work?
