Preop Diet, muscles freeze up on walk

I decided to walk during my lunch hours so I can stay out of the cafeteria at work during my preop. Day one was fine. Day two I got about halfway through and my muscles refused to move. I waited a minute and was able to walk, but didnt walk the same distance as yesterday.

I am trying to figure out if this is diet related. I had no soreness after yesterdays walk and it was only about half a mile, but I havent walked in a long time.

Going to try again tomorrow and see how it goes

Are you taking alot of artificial sweetener like Splenda?

I found out that I am extra sensitive to Splenda, it gives me real bad muscle cramps, I thought I had MS.

One day I was making coffee and I was pouring in Splenda and bunch came out, I thought "oh well it will be extra sweet"

Twenty minutes later my hands and neck would cramp with every movement, it scared the heck out of me.

I try and alternate between the artificial sweeteners so I do not get to much in one day. The protien nectar I picked up are the two flavors that are sweetened with Stevia.

The only thing that could have splenda in it is the sugar free Jello.

It will be curious to see what happens tomorrow when I try again. It was like I had run a marathon, but only went less than half a mile.
