Hi everyone,

I had a non-scale victory of mine own last week.

I have avoided wearing pantyhose for a several months. I live in Florida, and it is not unusual.

I needed t go to a family funeral in the Midwest.

So, I checked the weight chart and decided that

I could now wear a "B" size in Legg's pantyhose. The last pair I had bought was a Q2.

Wow, I was amazed how nicely they fit.

I have not worn anything that didn't say "Q' in pantyhose in several years! I am so psyched, I had to share with you. Karen(kll724):w00t:

Getting dressed this morning, my husband looked at me and said "WOW - I can really see the difference". Guess he wasn't looking that closely before - LOL.

It was nice to hear, since when you live with someone the changes are slow to see.

All these NSV's make me smile.

I'd type out a few, but I'm about to go get ready for a HUGE NSV .. going to walk (and maybe run a little) in my first 5K tomorrow!! (if it doesn't rain big time).

Great idea!

Here are some of mine:

  • wedding rings fit perfectly now
  • more energy (have to be careful to hide this, I've been volunteering to clean out the back of my hubby's work truck, fill the wood box, and clean up the leaves with all this extra energy; I'm afraid my hubby my start expecting me to do this all the time:smile2:
  • wearing a size 18 (just this week) for the first time in 4+ years
  • Wonderful compliments
  • feeling so much better about myself

My NSV: My fat belts now need extra holes put in them as they are too big even on the smallest hole. This leads to another NSV, my 16 and 18 pants are too big in the waist, thus the belt.

Love reading these.

I had an NSV just today. I've had previous MRI's on my knees and they've been unable to fit my leg comfortably in the knee coil....until today!!! I had an MRI today and my leg fit perfectly in the coil! No pinching, or having to stuff the fat down to get the coil to strap on. It was such a little thing, but a HUGE deal to me!!!

My husband and I were in the grocery store the other night and we got separated. He couldn't find me.......he said he didn't recognize me because I look slender now!!:w00t:

Still have a LONG way to go, but this was a huge NSV for me!

That happened to me with my daughter once, she looked down an isle, and didn't see me. Oops, Mom, didn't recognize you.

Funnier still, is looking in the overhead camera when walking into Walmart, and not recognizing yourself, at 1st.

All I've experienced so far is my clothes getting a little baggy. I see my friends and family often so they haven't noticed my weightloss. I did see my fiancee's sister yesterday who said I had obviously lost weight. I hadn't seen her in a while, so she noticed it pretty well. Made me feel happy :-)

I caved and went and bought some clothes today... I just grabbed some pants, didn't bother trying them on, but I grabbed a pair of 20's (which are currently a little big on me) and I grabbed a pair of 18's (for the future). I got home and tried them both on, the 20's, no way, no how, they are really big on me and the 18's a tad big, but would do. So, I'm going to take them both back tomorrow and exchange them for 16's. I honestly have no idea when the last time I squeezed my rear into a pair that size! lol

Oh, and my neighbor yelled across the street to my hubby this afternoon and said that he's going to have to start chaining me up in the house if I keep losing weight. Tacky, yep, but did it make me smile, HELL YES!!!

Wearing my 12W Talbot's jeans I'd worn once or twice 5 years ago, and flying for the first time since surgery-- I couldn't buckle the seat belt before (shhh.....). Now, not only did it buckle, but I had SIX INCHES of seat belt to spare!!:)

You just gave me sooo much hope. I have this along with a nasty bone spur it cause and it has been really hurting lately. I don't want to get anymore shots for it. I was banded 3 weeks sgo so maybe it will get better! YEA!!!!:)

I noticed that I could put my purse next to me in the chair when I was waiting to get my 6 month follow up blood work done. Then tonight I really noticed the gap between my stomach and the steering wheel.:blushing::thumbup:

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL

Still purging all of the larger clothing. This morning, a shirt that I ADORED wearing ended up on top. Hard to let it go, but it was also hard to let go of those habits that also no longer serve my highest good. Onward and upward!

Well, tomorrow I go in for an impromptu hiatal hernia repair after ending up in the ER over the weekend because I couldn't get food down and water was moving at a trickle... I've been having these symptoms on and off for a few weeks but Sunday was the worst by far and came with chest pain and trouble breathing. The ER PA thinks it is just esophagitis and that the surgeon and radiologist are wrong. But the bariatric surgeon swears it is a hernia, possibly a sliding one based on my symptoms. So he fit me into his schedule this week to repair it! I hope he's right and this sorts it out. He's going to do a scope afterwards to be sure there is nothing wrong with the esophagus. Here's hoping it all goes well!!
