Someone, Anyone in Alberta who was banded in Mexico?????

I am feeling very lost and frustrated. I was banded in Mexico on July 29th, 2010. I have been trying to work out the details of getting a fill. My doc in Mexico says I should really try to get a fill with and xray but there is only on doc that I can get to that will do that for me and he does not want to deal with mexico bands. I have the names and numbers of two docs in Calgary that will do it without xray but I am scared, I want to know I am ok from the surgery. I don't know what to do and I feel really alone. i wish i had someone to talk to...maybe someone who has had fills without xrays??? i don't know what is the safe right thing to do...I don'tknow what I can do...its like because I got the surgery in Mexico everyone treats me like I am untouchable.

Please help

My doc doesn't use xray to do fills. I feel for you. I know another lady that lives in Canada that wants a band but it's so much higher there then it is in the states or in Mexico for that matter.

Isn't there a chain of places called Fill Centers USA that will fill you regardless of where you were banded? Try looking them up and see if there is one close to you.

Don't worry about the flouro/x-ray. It is not necessary. The standard procedure here in Australia is to fill without them and it doesn't seem to cause any problems.
