    • Keep them -- just in case....
    • Get rid of them once & for all!

Well, I plan on donating most, HOWEVER--I do plan on a ceremonial bon-fire at the beach in which I shall burn my fat jeans and a 4X shirt. :)

I donated all of mine to the Vietnam Vets. You just call to schedule a pick-up and then leave the stuff in bags or boxes down by the curb or on your porch. Easy peasy!

I got donated all of my 22 and 20's, leaving me w/ only 18's in the closet. Now I'm down to size 16 and had to buy two pairs of pants and a new bra. If my weight doesn't shift down soon, I'll need to buy at least one more pair of pants because two just isn't going to cut it!

I donated most of mine to Salvation Army about three times...Hit goal...thought I was done losing...donated...down another size and donated again. Some of my "special" peices I gave to some LBT online friends that were a few months behind me.

Wow... I had another thought for my used clothes I think I will cut them up and use them for car rags, I really can get some coverage doing that.

Im planning on giving mine away to the Salvo's or similar... but I am still imagining being able to do it! I have only ever given away the smaller clothes, felt sad that I didn't get there and decided to stop living in the past and focus on the future - how great it will be to go shopping for new clothes because the old ones are too big!

YOU can do it! Focus on the future, as you said. Yesterday was my 1st bandaversary, and I did it. I am now in maintenance, believe me, loving life, and clothes shopping. Good luck to you, too! Karen(kll724):wink2:

I said 'get rid of them' and I really hope that I will do that. I find though that I continue to wear them now even though I'm swimming in them and my skinny clothes from years ago were never given away. So, who knows really?

CalicoskiesNC, That's a good ideal to have a beautiful outfit place in

in a shadow box. I may try that my self.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
