  1. Im planning on giving mine away to the Salvo's or similar... but I am still imagining being able to do it! I have only ever given away the smaller clothes, felt sad that I didn't get there and decided to stop living in the past and focus on the future - how great it will be to go shopping for new clothes because the old ones are too big!
  2. How does everyone know what size band they have? Is this something you have a choice with or does the Dr just put one in based on your start weight?
  3. Good Luck! I will be in surgery on the day of your consultation, I hope it is as quick a process for you as it was for me (consult to surgery that is) I think it is different in Australia, my Dr is dealing direct with my private health insurance provider and I just pay out of pocket - I had a 6 week wait but had the date the day I went to my consultation. Ill keep my fingers crossed for you :-)
  4. Also new and about to be banded - I have never had any surgery or a general anesthetic before at all so I am also nervous! I am sure I will never look back - now I just need to convince myself of that...
  5. I am 2 days pre banding and have a strange mix of sheer fear and excitement in one... Wondering if there is anyone else from Perth, WA that is going through the process at the moment? I know a number of people in my workplace that have been or are about to be banded in the next 6 months but I'd like to have more of a support group around where I can be a bit more open than I can in my workplace! I'm also really concerned about when I can swim again - I have a disc protrusion in my back that prevents almost all exercise (even walking I can't do for more than about 20 minutes without agitating the sciatic nerves)... I swim every day and am really worried about how long it will be until I can get back into it... Any ideas on speeding the process up from others who may have had similar experiences?
