I'm scheduled for my surgery in five days. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I'm looking forward to connecting with others who can help me through the adjustment period, and I'll be happy to pay it forward.

Hey, Pledwith...welcome. Pre-surgery is a time of great anticipation, isn't it? I remember it well. As you prepare for your surgery, follow what your doc requires to a T. Educate yourself as to what is to come. Read, read, read all the forums on LBT and ask as many questions as you have. There is never a "silly" or "stupid" question.

Wishing you luck as you begin this exciting journey!

Hi Pledwith - I'm new here too, not yet banded, but will be thinking about you and sending you "speedy recovery" vibes!

Also new and about to be banded - I have never had any surgery or a general anesthetic before at all so I am also nervous!

I am sure I will never look back - now I just need to convince myself of that...

Thanks for the support everyone! I'm very excited, and am following my doctor's instructions. I'm on Opti-Fast now, and have lost ten pounds so far, which is a great motivator. Good luck to all of us!
