Feeling like a clogged drain - only 3CCs

Recommended Posts

Is this normal? I take two bites and i have pain in my chest? Do you think 3 CCs was too much for a first fill? Can it really be the swelling 6 days later? I really hope that it's not always going to hurt when i eat. Have a follow up tomorrow, maybe i need 1 CC taken out? how many did you have in your first fill. is it suppose to hurt? please advise.

I also had my first fill 5days ago...3cc. However, I don't feel much restriction at all yet. I have lost another 3lbs since then, so it must be working?!

It may be too tight. I had the same problem, and I couldn't even get down fluids. I would definitely talk it over with your Dr and possibly have some removed for awhile, and maybe later you can have it put back in. Good luck.

My first fill I had 3cc's and didn't really feel much of anything. My ins. only covers a fill every six weeks so I have to wait. Going next week for the second fill and hoping that makes a difference. I know you are not supposed to get that pain after two or three bites though, sounds like you are overfilled. Sometimes I don't think I have any restriction and then I eat something and I do--it depends on what I'm eating.

You should definitely call your doctor though. Good luck

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
