Already banded but new to this forum

Hello all, I have been banded for almost 4 months now and I am loving the experience. Of course there are some uncomfortable times but for the most part this has been a positive experience for me. I am at a time in my life where I feel I need to take care of myself. So, that is why I decided to have the Lap Band surgery. So far I have lost about 40 pounds.:cursing:

Hi Karsnuggett,

Happy about your lose of 40lbs that is great.

I am in the process of getting approved for insurance. I was glad I read your post. I have had mixed feeling on getting the band. I know once i get my surgery date it will set in that i am going to go thru with it. I have 70lbs to lose.

I have lost before and gained it back just like all the people in the world. I am just hoping this works for me and I can keep it off. I am going to True Rrsults in Scottsdale Az.

my 2nd appointment is next week and that is when I have to commit to going thru with it. Then guess I will have 2 more appointments before all paperwork is submitted to insurance Aetna. I also have heart condition Cardiomyopithy and high blood pressure. I also have xstream Tendionitis in both feet and in process of getting them under control so I can walk.

Loseing 70lbs would make a great big differentce in my life.

I hate being over weight.
