Looking for September 2010 Bandsters

Recommended Posts

Hi JLR.

It is perfectly understandable and appropriate to be nervous when your surgery is early tomorrow morning. But you'll be banded sooner rather than later, which is really great! I hope I get an early surgery time next Friday on 9/17! You're so lucky.

Best of luck crossing over to bandland. Keep in touch so we know how everything went.

Hello September family,

Thanks so much to all the well-wishers, especially Pookie and Pitpat. Well, I made it to Bandland!! Horrible pain post-surgery, just now getting manageable. They gave me morphine yesterday to shut me up. Seems I had a really bad hernia with part of colon protruding into stomach (so don't panic anyone, Dr. says the hernia repair was responsible for most of the pain). Surgery was at 7am-ish, and they told me to get dressed and brought a wheelchair for me at 4:30. Had a few dry heave episodes which were heck on earth. I've forced myself to walk, walk, and walk some more. As bad as it has been, wouldn't change a thing about my decision.

The unjury came today, just in time. So I can have some Protein with my strained chicken noodle Soup. I'm feeling a bit loopy, nodding out as I am typing. Time for another nap. My wamest wishes to all!!

Bless your heart!!! Even going through all that you are still encouraging us. I hope tomorrow will be much better for you. Thank you for taking the time and effort to let us hear from you. You are in my prayers. Hope to hear from you tomorrow. sleep well, PitPat:thumbup:

I'm a week and a day post op and feeling good. Even through the worst times (which still weren't as bad as I had expected) my #1 feeling = RELIEF at believing my yoyo weight will finally come to an end. Good luck everyone. Keep positive thoughts!

ally UK, angelpix, jmariedel, jlr58, Mandyrae, Desiree1972, drm1123*: Keep us posted, will be thinking of you guys..

danide: glad to hear your doing well.

highlojack: we have the same date!!!

nyslegend 78: glad to hear from you.. hope you feel better soon.

LisaA & BrianLA- Thanks for your suggestions. I think I'm putting to much H2O, I was putting 16.9 oz with one packet of powder, I will try your suggestion as well so it can be thicker because I think that will help. I just didn't want to use the blender because my Dr. said after surgery I can't use the blender for drinks so I was trying to get use to it. But I'll figure that one out after surgery.

Hi everyone, my dr submitted to my new insurance today -- I start my pre-op diet again on Monday. Still feel like I'm in limbo -- until I get my approval I guess I will probably continue to feel that way. I would appreciate everyones prayers that I get approved.

It's so great to hear how everyone is doing! I have been keeping everyone in my prayers.

Take care and God bless! Wendy

Thanks! I go in tomorrow at 7:30 and surgery is at 8:30! I do not have to stay overnight and should be home by 3..

I don't think it has really sinked in yet, I'm not nervous or anything but I'm sure in the morning that will be a different story!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
