To fill or not to fill...

So guys, I am pretty new to all of this. I was banded 5/13. Did really well, had good restriction. On June 3rd I had 1.5cc's removed from the band that had been placed in surgery. I have about .5 left in there. My appointment the end of June was cancelled due to the Dr. needing to be in surgery so I am rescheduled in a couple of weeks. I have lost 40 lbs including my pre-op. So 40 lbs since May 1st. My eating is as follows, usually I am not hungry in the AM at all, I usually have tea with some skim milk. lunch I can can what feels like a sizable meal to me. several oz of meat and a side. At dinner it is the same. I am not hungry between meals. I do WANT to eat at night, but figure I am either hungry again because I stay up pretty late, or it is head hunger. I don't feel like a need a fill cause I am not getting hungry between meals. However, I do feel like I am able to eat too much at a sitting. Thoughts, suggestions? And of course I will chat with the doctor about all this.

If you're still losing consistantly without struggling and don't feel like you're starving I would wait a bit and see how it goes. If you are really struggling too not eat too much or really struggling to not eat at night ten I'd go in for a little tweaking. Good luck you are doing AWESOME!!!!

I just went for my 2nd appointment after my surgery on May 14, 2010. I thought I was going in for my first fill. I have lost a total of 48 pounds since pre-op diet. My doc said I was doing so good and steadily losing weight that he thought I should wait to get a fill. I have no fluid in my band, he doesn't fill it at surgery. So he wants me to continue as I have been and see him again in 6 weeks. I also feel like I'm not really hungry in between meals, but I notice at dinner I eat too much and feel too full. So I'm gonna try to restrain myself cuz I can eat more than the 4oz people say were supposed to eat and exercise more.

Yeah, but gut is to wait, but I will see what the Dr. says. The weight loss has certainly slowed.
