I have been reading the posts that are all very informative, so I decided finally to join. Thank you for all the info. I was banded in Miami on July 14th and I am down from 289 to 234. It has been the best thing I have done for myself. I am getting stuck lately when I eat quickly and that has scared me . Anyone with similar experience.

Yes!! VERY!! How many fills have you had? Try to take smaller bites, slow down and chew better. Welcome to the board. I love it here!

I was banded in Mexico...and I am looking for someone to do my fills. I am post op only 3 weeks right now...but I would like to schedual in advance being i may have to drive somewhere...I am in the panhandle of Florida...and have been looking everywhere for an experienced FILL doctor here....no luck so far. UGH!!!

Any help would be appreciated!

Who did you have your surgery with? Are you pleased with the doctor? I'm living in Deerfield and am looking for a doctor. Do you know how many your doc has done?

I was Banded by Dr. Kuri out of Tijuana, Mexico. He is a fabulous doctor, who has banded over 800 patients. On yahoo there are groups you can go too, like MexicoBandsters, or TijuanaBandsters, that are FULL of information on doctors. I chose Dr. Kuri...because I didn't find ONE bad thing said about him, and the price was resonable. $8500. I do not think I could've found a better dr.
