I was banded on June 14, and feel exactly the same way. I am beginning to think that the doctor forgot to put the band in place! Just kidding, but I am hungry all of the time and my stomach does not feel any different. It is so hard cooking for the family and watching them eat, when I truly feel that I could be eating what they are. If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it!

eat high Protein yougurt like Chobani, make tuna salad, shrimp salad, hummus& avocado are also good for this stage.Remember at this stage you are still healing& it's important to get 800-1000 cal.Oatmeal& Cream of Wheat are also good choices. Remember to use low fat Mayonnaise or plain yougurt to make tuna,or shrimp salad. Hope this gives you some ideas

Hi Protein right now people. it helps with the hunger. You just have to ride it out and eat as much Protein as you can until your first fill. I had my first fill and 3 weeks later, I am so ready for my next one. Getting hungry again.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice... I am still on the Clear Liquids until the 28th when I see my surgeon for my first follow up appt. I did; however, go to GNC and get unflavored whey Protein Powder and added it to a bottle of Water along with a sugar free koolaid packet and it isn't bad. It has 20g of Protein per scoop, so I put one scoop in the bottle. It looks a little strange, but the taste is actually pretty good.

I hear you! I fell like one of those starving kids you see on TV  My stomach growls all the time and the pain gets worse each day. I am 7 days post op today and could have been in to see my docotor EXCEPT he is out of the office until Friday UGH!!!! So I started drinking Campbells Soup at hand chicken and stars. The little bit of noodles that are in this are so tiny. I have started to eat them but still mash them up in my mouth even smaller. I had some applesauce today too. I ate it so fast and then realized what I had done. I sometimes think the band isn't there either. I havn't felt full yet

I know I'm cheating some but I look at it this way, if he were in town He would have moved me to the next stage and I really havn't been overdoing it. I don't think I can stand this much longer. :smile2:

I had applesauce as well and hate to admit but had a scoop of mashed potatoes. :drool:I was hungry this evening and cured it with a glass of milk only to b hungry a little while later. I just remind myself of the end goal. Vitamin Shoppe also has Fiber u can add to ur liquids to help get a better full sensation, but get off it once u get foods. Good luck everyone! Hunger seems to be the enemy!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
