Good Morning from a sunny CT

My name is MaryAnn and I've been overweight for most of my life. When I was younger, I lose it in the summer playing outdoors. Now that I'm old, it's not as easy as that. I've tried everything. I can lose weight, but I'm unable to keep it off. A co-worker had the Lap Band done. I didn't know about it until she had lost about 30 pounds. I decided to check it out. I went to the first seminar in April of 2009, and took about 3 months to make my mind up. My surgery is scheduled for June 3rd and I cannot wait!

Welcome to the board, MaryAnn! Where are you from in CT?

I'm in Manchester. My husband and I have lived here almost 5 years.

Farmington here. Where are you having your surgery done? I'm at St Francis May 26. I've been at the process since August of 2009, and now I'm on a two week pre-op of OptiFast shakes and clear liquids. It's hard but worth it!

I'm having my surgery done at Hartford Hospital through the CT Surgery Center.

I'm having trouble finding the optifast and the low carb slimfast.

I just went to Walmart and they didn't have any. I may have to buy it online.

Hello! I'm from CT also and I have Dr Tishler! I'm in Enfield which isn't too far from Farmington or Manchester!

Hi Nicole!

My Doctor is Dr Papsavas.

I know Enfield well, and I work in Windsor.

Small world!

Yes very small world. Do you go to the SWL Support meetings? Maybe I'll see you this month.
