Teresa

How much total fill do you have now? Sometimes I wonder what good restriction is supposed to be. I can eat about a cup but I'm getting somewhat stuck (not really a PB) every other day. Makes me think my pouch is stretched :ban:

Yesterday (4/3/06)

B: Metagenics shake

L: chicken enchilada

S: SF Yogurt

D: Grandma's dinner of biscuits, 1 pc fried chicken, 1/2 c clam chowder

S: Donut!

Today (4/4/06)

B: Metagenics shake - 25g Protein, 200 calories

L: WW Turkey & Green Beans, 18g protein, 200 calories

S: 1/2 oatmeal cookie - guessing 200 calories, 1g protein

D: Taco meatloaf and veggies - abt 22g protein, 328 calories

Water: 8 cups

Content: 66g protein, 928 calories

Puddin you had a donut....he he he

I have 1.8 cc's restriction varies from person to person from day to day from hour to hour. It's tight sometimes and sometimes it's just right. Are you stuffing your pouch? If not your pouch is not stretched.

Yesterday was a bad day. I ate to fast and I was trying to eat 2 eggs instead of 1. I was probably eating fast because I'm tighter in the morning and knew I should not have been eating it.

Wednesday

B:Water ( Can Water start my metabolism? I really don't want to eat anything yet.)

S:Slimfast/almonds

L:jello/corn chips

D:Big Beautiful salad (hopefully)

S:Protein Bar

Here's the thing: I always PB at the END of a meal. Maybe my "full" sensor doesn't work. Could it be that I'm eating past what I should and it's making me throw up? If that's the case, I need to start measuring my food again. Any thoughts?

Puddinpie it may not have been the amout but what.....you said that bread in your first post. Try not eating the typical band unfriendly foods and see if you still pb. Bread, rice, dry chicken etc.

For me I am tight in the morning and anything can get stuck and make me slime or pb. I'm stuck now from eating a boiled egg white, the yolk is too dry.

Appreciate the warning signs ....a burp, hiccup, feeling like the food is still in the lower part of your esphogus. Are you drinking while eating?

Thursday

B:Boiled egg, orange 100

S:cereal bar 130

L: corn chips 140

D: salad, steak umm, would not stop there 2 pieces of rye toast w/spaghetti sauce and cheese- at real slow

Then I went walking and was stuffed.

D:Plain McD Sundae 200

Teresa, you may be right. But I have also been PBing on band friendly food. But always at the end of the meal. Does overfilling make you PB? I don't FEEL stuffed, but maybe I am???

I've heard people talk about the warning signs of fullness, but I seriously get none of them. No burp, no hiccup, no pressure. I only feel full 10-20 minutes after I've finished eating. Maybe that's the modification I have to make. Perhaps I should eat 3/4 C food and then wait 10 minutes to see if I'm still hungry. I'm such an impatient person - this will be tough!

B: Metagenics Protein shake

L: Taco meatloaf and veggies

D: Lo-carb chicken spaghetti

Yes overeating will make me pb. This band is a trip but it works. It sounds like you should eat a little and wait, that has to sound crazy coming out of a fat person. LOL

I'm am new here. I expect to have the surgery in May 06.

I was reading what you all have been eating and I am a little surprised. Most of it is junk or not really nutritious. I thought you had to change your life style/ eating habits for the better after you had the surgery. Isn't there danger of gaining the weight back if you continue to eat the wrong foods? It just seems a little counterproductive to me. Sorry to be getting on your "bad side" so soon, don't kill me. But I just need to understand how this thing works before I go into surgery. I am excited!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
