Looking for recommendation for 2-5 day spa/wellness retreat

Hello

Well I have almost lost 100 pounds and my BFF will have a free week without kids (away at boy scout camp) so we wanted to do a girls exercise retreat/spa etc as we live in different cities. I did Camelback about 20 years ago and found a Heartland Retreat Center outside of Chicago. Any suggestions for July where we can spend 3-5 days exercising all day with meals? Thanks.:Banane20:

First of all--congratulations on your success! And congratulations, too, for coming up with such a great reward for yourself--brilliant!

While I personally have not been there myself, I've heard nothing but wonderful things about Kripalu Center for Yoga (in western Massachusetts). They offer all sorts of different themed retreats and I think you can also just go and do a basic program which includes several yoga sessions daily. Plus, it's incredibly beautiful and peaceful in that area (I used to live in West MA). I'm pretty sure the Kripalu "campus" has a lot of hiking trails and things like that, too. kripalu.org.

Wherever you go, have an incredible time! And let us know where you end up choosing! ;-)

I've been looking into the Heartland resort as well (since it is driving distance for me.)

There are some "spa finder" type websites on the net, if you google for spas. I also typed in "resort spa" or "destination spa" which helps to get rid of all the day spas and hotel spas.

Thanks

www.spafinder.com had like 54000 links

Once I used destination spa got better results and fewer choices

I am looking at a few choices yet, Heartland, Hilton Head Health, Birdsong in MN and one in Tennessee

When I searched with best budget destination spas got a few good leads to narrow my search.

Not sure what area of the country you are looking for, but would recommend; The Kerr House in Grand Rapids, Ohio
