has weight loss effect family in a negative way?

Recommended Posts

Just curious again. When we got married I was large. My husband is attracted to large women. We have discussed how we will need to make time for each other as I change, because any time one partner grows or changes, it effects the other.

Has any one gone through weight loss where the partner was no longer attracted to them or the person's personality changed after weight loss to where the other person could not deal with it? I know that if you truly love someone you work through it and yada yada yada....

I know I will be more out going. And yes, my dress will change. But I will be a faithful "ho". Ha! I want to be a cool modern Mom thats all.

Thanks.

My husband was banded too so we are both loosing weight together, and we both love each other more than ever. I have a very strong marraige however it's still my opinion that if weight loss changes the way a partner feels or loves you it was not true love to begin with.

I guess I lucked out here. I'm not married, but have a wonderful boyfriend. He met me right before I started this process, so he met and fell in love with the heaviest I've ever been. Found me attractive in every way, including physical. He's more than supportive on this journey, and he's looking forward to the new, "hotter" Joia that will emerge over time. BUT - knowing he loved me at my heaviest...sure tells me a lot about his character and the fact that he loves me for ME. The skinnier Joia will just be a bonus for all of us!

I was only 120 lbs when I met my husband. I gained all of my weight when I got pregnant with our son. My husband is still with me today and I am only 6 days post op, he is already nervous about other guys looking at me! But I know he is only joking, because he was with me when I was thin and he knows and likes the old me. Unfortunately he can tell that over the last 2 years my self esteem and attitude have changed for the bad, and he cant wait till I am back and normal like I was before not the whole depressed me that I have been !

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
