Is it possible that I am still swollen???

I got a fill on Thursday, February 25th. My doc has me on liquids that day but food the next. I always do a Protein drink for Breakfast because i am unable to get food down in the morning. On Friday my stomach was still very swollen so I had a protrein drink for lunch too. I ate dinner, but it was difficult and a little painful. I decided to go back on liquids for a couple of days. It is now Tuesday and, while I can get some food down, it is pretty painful. Is is possible that my stomach is still swollen from the fill? Or (and I truly hope this is NOT the case), am I too tight?

All opinions are welcome. Thank you.

I have the same problems expect my fill has been 2 weeks ago. I only have 3.5 ccs in 10cc band. I only got .5cc this last time. I am sticking to yogurt and protien bars as I have no problem with them.

@123crod, has the swelling/pain subsided any? Do you feel it slowly getting better?

I had a .7 fill on Feb 18th for a total of 5.1. I struggled for 10 days barely being able to eat and going down hill the whole time. By the time I called the nurse I was down to 200 calories a day, I could barely even drink shakes from trying to force it. My nurse met me at the hospital on Sunday morning and took out .3, then she told me to stand up so I could try and drink some water, when I stood up I felt the protein shake that I had forced down 2 hours earlier (that took 2 hours to drink) drain out of my pouch. I cant tell you the relief. Today is the first day since 02/18 that I have been able to eat solid food and boy was it good! I was happy with my small meal and still felt full for 3 hours after I ate it. I still have my restriction. During that 12 days I lost 6 pounds, however, I had been losing 2 pounds a week anyway. So I couldn't eat for 12 days and I only lost 2 extra pounds, NOT worth it. If you are too tight, you could be risking your band by staying that way for very little advantage. Will your doctor give you a small unfill like mine did?

I would get a little taken out. I felt the same way and caused mine to swell to much had to get a fill AND 1/2 taken out cause i waited four weeks before deciding to go in. If i had of went in as soon as it started he would have taken out just a little. i just kept thinking it will get loose.

Yes, Leigha, my doc will give me an unfill ... though I must say he is sometimes a little hard to catch (because he seems to always be in surgery). I did have an easier time this morning getting my protein drink down but, if by the end of the week I am not doing better I will call my doc. You're right, it's certainly not worth risking damage to my band. Thanks for your post.

I can eat but almost everytime during the meal I get stuck sometimes after a few bits sometime the last bite. I never had that before with any my fills. So I am tight but think it will loosen with some more time. Since I can eat I am not going in for an unfill unless it gets worse.
