Morning fellow bandsters...

So I'm down another 2.5 lbs which puts me right back to where I was a month ago. :blushing:

It's supposed to be in the 70's for the next 2 days so I think I'll spend it in the yard. I should've had all the end of season stuff done a month ago but God must love me because he's giving me a second chance.

Parents and sister are going home today (yeah!). I love them...but more so at a distance. My house is generally quiet and since they've been here, the tv has been on *constantly* with one football game after another. Add to that my mom's constant babying talk to her little chihuaha and said Chihuahua's barking at my cats and I'm ready to go screaming off the deep end. Thank God I'm not an emotional eater!

Think I'll go for my walk right after they leave. It's a gorgeous day outside!

Great news.To now be "normal" weight is especially exciting.

Just got up and I am frozen. Looked outside and the grass is covered in frost. What the! It's supposed to be spring - I am so over cold weather. Especially now as I seem to feel the cold even more.

Yes I know real models don't smile but it does look weird in the photo's where you can actually see my face!

Hey, a thought just came to mind. (dangerous, I know)

When you reach a "normal" BMI does that mean you have lost 100% of your excess weight?

Yes it does. You are no longer overweight so you have lost 100% of the excess. Any extra you lose will mean that you have lost more than 100%.

Getting to a normal BMI is what they base all their stats on.

Time to Celebrate.< /p>

It was an absolutely gorgeous evening for a walk and...bonus...my distance is increasing. When I started out 3 weeks ago, I was only able to do 2.5 miles in an hour. Tonight we walked 3.5 miles in an hour! I knew my stride and pace were increasing but had no idea I was up to 3.5 miles! I wondered why some of my songs seemed kind of 'off' in pacing me when they were perfect before. I can't say I'm any less bored with this whole walking thing but it is kind of neat to see the improvement.

Now I think I'll take myself off to enjoy my nice quiet house...

CONGRATS CRYSTL & MELODY!! :smile2:

Elcee-glad to hear that you didn't fall on your tushie!

Denise-I quit all electronics last week!! lol Honestly everything I touched at work well...didn't work. Eventually it did, but so frustrating when you're expecting something to take like 5 minutes tops and it consumes your entire morning :blushing:.

I finally got my husband to hide the scales and I am going through withdrawal BIG TIME! With the unfilled band I am eating crap, but on the other hand I am exercising more than I ever have so...hmm we'll see how it goes. We were in K-Mart today and I almost snuck away to go step on a scale in the bathroom section, but contained myself. I know it will be a gain, and I am already depressed so I don't need to know just yet. The weather here was great this weekend (surprisingly), so we went for a 5 mile walk yesterday and today I did 1 hour of Just Dance 2 and 3 miles on the treadmill. Oh my dear sweet band how I miss you

Stacie,

Oh no...you're going to become a sneak scale user? :) I am ROFL at the thought of you sneaking off to find a scale in K-Mart but remember, it may only depress you even further since one scale will not weigh the same as another and may show you even heavier than your own scales.< /p>

My doc's scale weighs me about 1 pound heavier than mine. The bariatric clinic's scale weighs me 2 pounds lighter. I won't even weigh myself on my mom's little step on scale <shudder>.

You know...you may be eating more or the wrong stuff, but it sounds like you're also staying pretty active so maybe it will balance out. Now step away from the *crap*. :huh2:

Does K-Mart even have scales out on display for use?

You could always go to Brookstone where they have the talking ones...yikes!!

Almost 19 years ago I walked into one of these home stores (little bit of everything) and as I walked past a digital scale I heard this voice say (in a very policeman like way), "Step onto the scale." Told my husband I wouldn't want that scale in my house because I'd be afraid of what it would do if I refused. :huh2:

So after a nasty URI and a head full of snot last week, accompanied by PMS which causes Steve to be super tight, and then a case the pukey poops (courtesy of Connor) which caused Steve to shrivel up and die, I ended up with yet another urgent unfill this a.m. I was up all night heaving and or refluxing, it was lovely. I'm somehwere around 6 cc in a 14 band and it doesn't appear I'll be going much tighter than this for a while.

Oh Christie, Steve is a poopy head, no pun intended! Poor you.

So I got on the scale last night and nearly pooped my pants, it was higher than it's been in ages! :huh2: :)

Then I took off my fleecy sweatshirt and two pounds were gone, and I was back to normal! Such a dork!

Oh, and I have updated my ticker. 145 is my goal weight. It seems to be where my body is happily hanging out. :huh2:

Christie-Steve is a big PITA isn't he? :huh2: I still have yet to name my band...I want to, but I am horrible at naming ANYTHING! Thank goodness we adopted out pets and they came named! I remember a while back we had a convo about the Twilight Zone and the epsiode with Anthony. Ever since then that is the name I have been tossing around because it seems I have to baby him and do everything to please him or all hell breaks loose!! (or is it lose??? :))

I admit...I was in the warehouse at work today and I knew there was a scale in the Dry Shipping Break room...I snuck in :huh2:. I think I have only gained 1 or 2lbs (and gosh darn it I REFUSE to put that in the ticker especially because it wasn't on my scale), but I guess you really never know because I was clothed and it's not MY scale.

LOL. Now that, is funny. Maybe I need one of those by the pantry to stop me before I graze. "Step onto the scale" would make me think about what I shouldn't eat.

Stacie, Your scale situation would be great for the old "you know you're a bandster when....." thread.

You know you're a bandster when you have your spouse hide your scale and then you sneek weigh in at K-Mart and the dry shipping scales at work.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
