How to find doctor in Mexico?

I really want to have the gastric sleeve done and want to know how to go about finding a reputable doctor that is less expensive since i will have to pay out of my pocket.

How did you decide to go elsewhere?

thanks:confused:

Hello!

In answer to your question, I was looking for a thread but couldn't find it. It's called "How to find a LAP-BAND® surgeon in Mexico" or something along those lines. Maybe you could try searching for it?

Also at the very bottom of the main page under "Lap Band Talk community center" there is a subheading called "Lap-Band® surgeons in Mexico" And it list a few names. I really don't know if they do the gastric sleeve, but from everything I've seen these are very good surgeons. One of them is mine, Dr. Kuri but there is also a Dr. Aceves who I've read great things about also.

I would find out who does the surgery you need, then do a search with their names to see what the patients have to say about them. That is how I did my research, and I am very happy with the results. Dr. Kuri is very experienced and I had VERY little pain post-op which was great!

Good luck to you! And just make sure you read up on whomever you do choose.
