Weight Plateau- what to do?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Too many people don't give their body time to change, we want to loose it right away. I can tell you that I went through many plateaus before I realized these things that helped me. 1. I take liquid vitamins 2. Benafiber daily 3. Real Protein foods. 4. Soup as a meal (i love all kinds). If you like to make your own can I recommend SOUP OF THE EVENING...BEAUTIFUL SOUP Everybody's body is different, it's been a year and a half for me and I have kept my weight under 200 lbs which was my original goal but I am still glad that I had this done. I believe it saved my life and added years to it.

Good luck and God Bless.

Marshall

My doctor makes us choose a food plan. Either Eat for Life or Eat Clean. I am following the Eating clean food plan. www.eatcleandiet.com Buy the book! it has great recipes and they are so band friendly! The premise is to eat 5-6 small meals per day with the right amount of Protein and carbs (carbs from fruit and vegetable)s. My weightloss was slow in november and december but it has been falling off since Januray when we really took our eating clean up a notch. Most of you are already working out so you probably need a little more food to help your body let go of the extra weight. Think of the small clean meals as a way to get your body fueld to lose weight.

With the band, its been amazing, i actually have to make sure that i eat properly and when i do get enough protein (there are protein calculators out there for people who exercise) then i lose . and lose inches!!! its fantastic. I am 179 yet in a 10-12. I fully expect to be at goal of 155 by july (that is only 24 lbs more in 4 months and i have lost almost 50 in 7 months) Its great, consistent weight loss. Try either plan, eating for life or eating clean, you will love the results! My colleagues (who have not been banded) recently started to eat clean and theya re dropping the pounds and cant believe it b/c they feel like thye are eating all the time!

Thank you for the website recommendation! I am checking it out right now. They have those books at my library too, so I am going to check them out!

I am getting a fill tomorrow, so I'll see if that helps too.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
