Due for 1st fill - what does it feel like?

Hi - I had my band fitted 15.01.10 and am due for my 1st fill on Wednesday, I'm a bit nervous, does it hurt? Can you feel it?

If anyone feels like describing how the procedure is performed I'd appreciate it!

Thanks

I go in tomorrow for my first fill also. This information was nice to read. My doctor does the fills with the flouroscopy.

Ok - had my 1st fill and don't know why I was so scared now!!

He just put the needle in after cleaning but I felt no pain at all! YAY!

Thanks all - I needed all the advice and was prepared for the worst case scenario, glad not one bad thing happened.

Take care, Lu x:thumbup:

The anticipation was way worse then the actual fill.. My fill was actually very pain free-- so was my unfill.. Going to go back next month for my 2nd fill.. I am soo PO'ed at myself .. I have gain 1/2 pound this week..

My doctor used no numbing meds ...

seems a lot of us were banded about the same time. i too am having my first fill on wed the 24th.

i'm down about 30 lbs but feel i'm eating a little more than i should. i do have some restriction even without a fill and if i let myself, can eat too much. i've tried to be diligent in my eating and using my band an aid instead of only relying on it to do all the work. hope this plan works for the long haul.

i'll let you know how my first fill goes.

i'm actually looking forward to it.
