If your insurance says it's not in the covered benefits has anyone had any luck with fighting and getting approved for medical reasons?

I finally felt like I was at the point to be "ready" to go through and do this and then found out it isn't covered by Aetna. I don't have $15K lying around either :smile2: Any help is appreciated :tongue:

You will probably find that WLS is an exclusion to your particular plan, rather than not covered by your insurance company. My employer excluded it from their plan with BCBS. I appealed twice on my own without success. Then I hired obesitylaw.com and they won it on appeal for me.
