I can eat just about anything...

I had my surgery on September 4, 2009. I have had two fills with a total of 4.7cc in a 10cc band.

After my second fill I was very restricted for about a week. After that, nothing.... It has been 6 weeks and I have gained 3lbs... My Dr. thinks its my food choices and wants me to see a dietican.. I know some of its my choice in foods but I think if I was restricted enough, I couldnt eat breads and LARGE PORTIONS...

Does this mean I need another fill??:smile2:

Oops this post was meant to go on a different forum... Sorry

Slider foods to me are anything that slides down, now obviously some are have great nutritional value like yogurt and cottage cheese and others like cookies and chips have none but in moderation we can eat anything... That's the beauty of the band.

I think different surgeons classify different things as sliders. Mine has the same definition as you. Even though Protein drinks, yogurt, milk, etc. are all good for you, she would rather have you eat solid protein instead because then you are really utilizing the band. I still eat some of these 'sliders', but w/the awareness that it is not gonna stay w/me as long as a piece of chicken or fish would.
