  1. Please elaborate on the bypass comment?
  2. I use a notebook that I bought at the .99 cent store! Yuk Yuk:rolleyes:! I log everything I eat what time I finish eating ( so I train the brain On the 30 min. rule) exercise, vitamins, daily weight, pounds to goal, days to fill....everything! My ticker keeps track of my weight loss, and my journaling is all done on this lovely web site! All for now Peace out Kelly:wink:
  3. Well ladies and gents, I went out last Sat. and started drinking at two in the afternoon, (vodka and fuze) and didn't stop till two in the morning,,,,,,WHO-WHO-WHOOOOOOO. Next day, oh man sicky sicky, and ate slider (lowcal) foods for comfort. I do however allow my self one bad day a week (nature of the beast). So this week so far have lost another pound, down 26 pounds since surgery 4 weeks and two days ago! Before surgery I had cocktail hour every day! I really don't miss it that much at all. That ones a real shock to me:eek:! That is my two cents worth Peace out Kelly:rolleyes:
  4. I need to know from all you seasoned vet.s how long after surgery was your first fill? How much was it? I am freaking hungry! I was banded 8-3-2010, and I'm hoping that when I go to the Doc.in one week it will be for a fill!!!! Anyone, what's it gonna be?
  5. Why do you think it is that people think it is cancer or something? Are they gloomy-gus's or what? I just think that is kinda wierd! Kelly:rolleyes:
  6. I am now 3 weeks out, and of course I started walking! Just about 30 min a day. Then because the hunger came on like a hurricane, I had to add fish, it's the only thing that fills me and keeps my hunger "at bay". I've had a few days where I went over, but always the next day back on track. I would say about once a week. I have lost 25 pounds since surgery. No complaints here! I think the exercise helps.....I subtract that from my daily calories in my food log, so I am eating between 900 and 1200 plus 250 cal. I sutract for my walking! All for now, Kelly:biggrin:
  7. weigh to go, or wait to go, or whey to go, or way to go!!!!
  8. lolololololol!
  9. That just tells me there IS still a chance.....whoooo-whooo! :> Congradulations! Happy for you Kelly:redface:
  10. How many fills have you had, Is that just one ?
  11. Well, I am kinda a grazer. But I obsess on counting calories. Don't you think it shouldn't matter how you do it as long as you stay around your 1200 calories per day, or however many calories per day you allow yourself? Just like they tell us about exercising, you can break it up into two 10 minute bouts, or do one 20 minute bout. It seems same, same to me! Well All for now Kelly:wink:
  12. Well I have been banded for 17 days, and I've just decided to buckle down and diet! I get a fill in 20 days, so that would be my first goal. I log every morsel that goes into my mouth, helps to pass the time, and become calorie conscious at the same time. Been walking every day for 20 minutes too. I do however tend to find myself watching the travel channel, so I can see all the food they get to eat! "Dream on big moma!" Well all for now! Peace out Kelly:rolleyes:
  13. I really don't know how they judge what size to put on whom!Mine is a 10cc band. Maybe different brands, or maybe stomach size, or maybe even the amount of weight you want to loose. I have often thought of that one myself!
  14. You are only 27, when I was 27 I could work with broken ribs!
  15. I was put ON a straw diet after surgery! Anything I could get through a straw is my diet till 1st fill.
  16. come on beachbunny, you can do it!
  17. I want some recipes too! Low carb if possible
  18. Could someone please tell me what PBing is? Thank you! Kelly:biggrin:
  19. Hello fellow August Rushers, Well, I went for my first checkup today. The Dr. told me to "keep on keeping on", for four more weeks. So I'm going to have to be very creative with coming up with some low carb soups. Tonight I'm going to try tallapia, cooked, blended, with some tarter sauce, and some heavy cream.Season and searve! I can't live on eggs and cottage cheese alone. I have been losing a couple pounds a day, so the low carbing is working.Yeah I lost 50 pounds my last diet, fast! So I know I'm going to be dumping pounds. I want to loose 20 pounds, thats 5 pounds a week before I see the "Doc" again. Oh well thats all for now! Peace Out Kelly:wink: P.S. any recipe ideas (low-carb)out there?
  20. AMARIS......how much did you loose on your pre-op diet? Just curious.
  21. Hello all you August Rushers, congrats. to all who were banded this week. I am now 8 days post-op, and things are moving right along. I keep dropping the pounds, every day or every other day I drop a pound....AND IM LOVING IT! I decided to name my band "Chauncy" I don't know I just like that name. I decided a few days ago, that I would focus more on low carbing it! Man, you want to peel those pounds off? Just low carb it. I really don't have a lot of options but the result on the scale more than makes up for it:thumbup:. I have been having my protien drink (81 grams) and 9 carbs for breakfast....then I have 2 scrambled eggs with mayo and mustard (blended).....then I have cottege cheese with mayo (blended) filling, and all for 20 carbs. I haven't been snacking between, because of all the protien:blush:. Well all for now! Peace out Kelly
