I have always been moderately overweight, weighing 185 lbs. for 10 years. After a hysterectomy at age 26, I gained another 23 lbs, weighing in at 208. I began nursing school in January of 2010, and upon completion of semester 1, I weight 222 lbs. I was referred for a bariatric consultation by PCM on May 12, 2010.
