I have not had any medical issues, they just automatically do the injections. 3 in each side of my lower stomache, both sides are about 3x6 inches oval swollen, red and itchy. It has been a week and they are not any better yet but I am going to see my nurse on Monday. Really surprised me that it didi not start until 10 days after surgery.

I had my revision on the 17th of February and now am dealing with a rash, redness, swelling and itching from a delayed reaction to the Heprin shots. Anyone else have to deal with this? How long before it got better? Dana

I had my surgery on the 17th and was in for 3 days. My trouble was dry heaving could not take anything by mouth and losts of pain. I have a great support group and that helps. Think about telling a few more people so they are their for you, especially if you know some that have had the surgery. They can be great help and a good source of information. Hope it gets batter for you soon. Dana

I am on day 4 of the 10 day liquid diet and my stomache hurts it is so hungry.

I have never heard of isopukes? I have to do a 10 day liquid diet. But have not had ny appointment with my Nutritionalist yet.

Ok, I am so excited surgery is scheduled for the 17th of February and I can get this thing out and the sleeve the same day. What kinds of Clear liquids did you have to live on for the 1st week after surgery? Thanks Dana

Thanks for the info everyone. I will have the band removed and surgery for the sleeve on the same day. I am hoping to not have to take off so much time from work but am just nervous I guess. Thanks again

Thanks, It helps to know I am not the only one. I just don't know if my husband or insurance will consider it. I just don't know what to do anymore and I am feeling very lost and alone. My husband is one of those people who eat everything and never gain a pound. He thinks if I just work out more and eat less it will come off easily but his family eats all kinds of junk and never gain weight.

Ok, I am 17 months out of surgery and have been having alot of trouble with adjustments. They put in, then remove some , then put in. I haven't lost in 8 months, and have not been able to eat for the last month. The doctor took out a 1/2 a CC and I am hungry every two hours. So much so that my stomache hurts from being hungry. My doctor said the band is not working for me and suggested I have it removed and do the Sleave. I am so upset and frustrated. Has anyone else had the doctor tell you it isn't working for you?

I need a good Journal for my band to help keep track of fluids, Proteins, etc... any ideas?

So three weeks ago I had my fourth fill and have 7.9 cc in my 10 cc band. Since that fill I can not eat anything but yogurt in the a.m. Then at lunch I have to take it very slowly to get a cup of food down, which usually take an hour. Do I continue to wait it out and see if it loosens up or do I need a small unfill? Because of not being able to eat much I am not loosing like I should be. Help I am frustrated.

I had a fill on the 24th of March. Since this fill I can not eat for a couple of hours in the morning. I am also having trouble eating more than a bite or two without feeling like it is stuck. I am eating the right things and chewing it very well but it seems like no matter what it is I struggle. Should I wait to see if it loosens up or should I get an unfill. I was hungry all the time at 7.4 cc now I am at 7.9 and it is a drastic change. Probably eating only 1/2 cup of food three times a day and it takes a long time to get it down.

I was bandedon the 23rd of November 2009. I am down 24 lbs and have 7.4cc in a 10 cc band with no restriction. I am wondering how you keep track of your Protein intake and calories daily? Is there an easy way to keep track daily? Thanks

I had my first fill on the 17th on December, one month after surgery. I have a 10 cc Band with 5.4 cc of fill in it, still no restriction though. I hope I will have some restriction after the 2nd fill in January, right now I am just limiting my portions on pure will power. I am not losing much yet but am hopeful it will come soon. They released me to start working out again. Depression is my main obstical right now.
