Protein shakes forever?
I'm sure she meant now she does protein bars. I would definitely not do bars during your liquid stage

85 lbs in 1 year??
Totally realistic, but it's really up to you and how much you put into it too. I'm now just over 6 months and I'm almost at 50#. While it is slower than a lot I'm happy with it and I do kickboxing a lot so I'm pretty sure some of the fat is turning into muscle and if I didn't do it I'd probably have more weight loss. But so far, my skin I'd bouncing back so I'm ok with it.

Compliments
It's gotten a little easier but I'm trying to make myself better at it. Some people just don't know when to stop though and I wanna smack them. I've never been good with compliments someone says you look good, my answer is no I dont. There's this one vet at work who says I lost so much weight everytime she sees me and I just wanna smack her. Yesterday I told her, yeah thanks my goal is to become invisible LOL. Well I don't like her much to begin with. She's this eternally happy person who every single client she days is the nicest person. Gag I wanna scream. But I'm getting off topic. as you start to feel better about yourself as a person and the way you look it starts to get easier. I still hard it ghough

Protein shakes forever?
Absolutely, I rarely drink protein shakes and I get more than enough protein. I only drink shakes now is after a fill. Or if I'm having a little mini plateau and I feel I need to get myself back on track I'll do a day of of 2 shakes and dinner or protein shakes just to jumpstart me. Which I think I'll be doing on Tuesday because I'm struggling right now.

Suggestions for chewable vitamins (Calcium, Multi, and Vitamin D
I take vitafusion gummies multiple vitamin, also their fiber gummies too. I also take the generic viactiv calcium + D chews. I know I can take regular pills, but in the past I'd always forget to take them and since I started the gummies I haven't forgotten, it like my treat in the morning

Nasty antibiotic
I wasn't on ABs after surgery. Just pain meds which were nasty tasting but I never was good with taking liquid mess, but I managed to swallow it, only took it for 2 days though. I don't think most people are on AB s post surgery. Which I thought was strange because all the animals I work with get them post surgery. Though I guess humans are better about keeping themselves clean...lol

Lost In The Journey
Instead of getting a fill you need to eat more. If you're only eating once a day you probably arent getting enough calories in. I guess if you're truly not hungry drink a protein shake or 2 at least. Definitely do not get a fill!

Grieving the death of popcorn...
I eat popcorn all the time! The 100 calorie bags. Last time I went to the movies I treated myself and got a small and ate 1/2 of it. I was so proud of myself for stopping at 1/2

Feet size
I really hope my feet shrink in width. I really don't care about length really. My feet are wide and I have a he'll of time finding shoes/sneakers that are comfortable. I even had to get men's rollerblades just do I'd have a little more width. And I still get a blister on my foot everytime I wear them. I've lost 47# (I think) since banding and over 100# since my highest weight and I don't believe they've shrunk yet

Where to start?
For the first 2 months post op all I did was the elliptical for 30-40 min and then stregth training for 40 min or so. I was doing elliptical for years prior to my surgery and started strength a couple months prior. Now I do kickboxing 6 days a week.

Does eating right before getting a fill make you feel tighter?
I agree with this. My doc didn't say don't eat but I Never eat before going to any doctors because I don't want my weight to be up...lol. I kind of regretted it at my last visit because I got my first fill and then was told liquids only for the next 2 days and I was hungry, oh well.

Post surgery constipation.....
I've always been constipated. Though for pre op and post op (one week pre and 2 post) while I was on liquids, I had diarrrhea. Not horrendous but annoying. Then I went back to my normalness. At the GI doc I told her about my constipation and she recommended miralax now I take it most days and I'm a lot more comfortable

Other options!!
Just find a drink that you like. Get samples. Personally I could not even swallow a sip of the bullet. I tried it's so nasty. The clear ones are nasty, I tried mixing crystal light or look aid with them, still disgusting. Unjury makes good shakes though, try those

Crying because I'm going to get skinny... What???
I can't say I can relate. I've hated my body for a long long time. I've been miserable for so long. I was excited for change. Excited for a better future and not come home from work and be depressed with my life. I wont miss one iota of the old me. I still have a ways to go to where I would like to be, but even if I just stayed where I am right now, my life is already so much better

Antidepressants? Do They Work For Obesity Depression?
I don't think anti depressants work period. I started on them when I was like 12. I was on paxil, concerta and one other one, at different times and I was still very depressed. Finally decided to stop taking them and my meds for a stupid diagnosis of ADD, which I don't think I ever had, when I was like 23. Since I started losing weight after I had my surgery I have not really been depressed since. I do have to say when I started antidepressants I wasn't fat

Empty lap band no slip can't tolerate food
There was a girl Mandy on here that was having the same problem. She ended up having surgery again to explore and see what the problem was. Unfortunately she ended up having an infection at her band and had to have it removed. Hopefully not your case, but it's something to question
-
Finding it difficult getting fluids down
Was 2.5 cc all that was on the band? You need to check and if not need to go in and have the rest removed. Some docs give some fill in surgery, but it seems some people's stomachs swell to much and can't tolerate this. If there is no fluid left in there, I'm not sure

scared...
I would listen to your doc, but mine has no problem with me taking NSAIDs, he said the rule of not taking them is really only true for bypass patients

TOM Question
Yeah it's starting now. I've been drinking so much trying to get rid of the bloating. Hopefully it will go now that it's starting
-
ONEDERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats! Great feeling, isn't it?
-
How should I handle my next fill visit?
One suggestion, not sure if oh works for everyone, but it seems to work for me. Sometes I eat my portion I'm still hungry, I wait half an hour then I drink. The drinking seems to fill me up. So try that it really can help

TOM Question
I was banded 6 months ago. For the past year or so, I've been on a 28 day cycle, and I knew when I would get TOM. I even got it right on time 3 days after surgery. Now I'm late, I was due on Thursday and today is monday, I have been PMSing like crazy and I am bloated. I just hit onederland last week and now I'm struggling to stay in it. I do know once TOM finally comes it will hopefully come off, but I'm waiting for it. To answer the question in everyones mind, no, there is no possible way I am pregnant. (I'm 28 and due to weight, confidence, and self esteem issues, I've never even kissed a guy ) Has anyone had this happen. Id say the only thing that is different is my mom recommended B Complex and B 6 to help control TOM symptoms I'd been having. The complex I was taking last month and I'd started taking the B 6 like a week prior to last months TOM. Any advice? I don't know if this seems stupid to ask, but due to the bloating I'm about ready to cry (that sounds stupid), but it is getting me so frusterated, I go to kickboxing 6 days a week, I actually took today off though to see if that would entice her to come, but may make up for it by going twice tomorrow, depending on how I feel. Please help me. TIA
