  1. An accomplishment to complete pre-op. Liquids until next Friday. I CAN and will do this and be successful. My health depends on it and a life lays ahead to create wonderful memories. Patience and determination will prevail. :thumbup:

  7. Yes, just one and a protein shake. Then you won't feel hunger. Remember why you chose the band. Rewards will be worth it.

  10. Yes, I am a food addict. Began therapy last week to address how I can work with the band and gain control over food in my life. 2nd appt with therapist is tomorrow and surgery on Monday the 22nd of Feb. Good luck to all of us in this battle. May we achieve success. JC in KC

  17. 3 Pm on Day 2 thru 5 PM on Day 3 were the toughest for me. Then, hit the pace and hunger left. Hope that happens for both of you. Cherita, I skipped Valentines Day dinner - just for this year. Next year I'll bring my gorgeous new body to a much lighter dinner. I'm positive it will be well worth the effort for all of us. Be strong - so many others have walked this path - we can too.   21. Hi Kathy, I'm on day 7 of pre-op 14 day diet. Getting nervous and excited. Hope you feel better each day. Joyce in KC
  22. Anticipating that this will be a problem for me, I've started seeing a therapist who specializes in bariatric counseling. Will work to find tools to help me thru this journey. Best of luck to all of us - we'll share our hints and skills.

  24. Stuff down pain and lonliness and self abuse for not being "perfect". I had my first appt with therapist this morning. Will see her again next week and ongoing as I continue this life-changing journey. Have "named" my band - My Hero. Life will be easier with My Hero walking thru with me.
  25. Webster defines "diet" as a chosen plan of eating. We need to reframe this four letter word. We chose health and success with the help of the lapband.
