    Yes, Me 9am in Caracas Venezuela. I live in Orlando and my insurance denied my two appeals, but I am blessed I have a family friend who is a Bariatric Surgeon in Venezuela and he is doing my surgery. Anyway I leave on thursday so will be a little disconected but as soon as I can I will login and update..Take care and God Bless us with health and successful banding in 2010.. maritza

  3. Hi. I am in orlando and after two years of appeals I am going to self pay. My surgery is on feb 23. I did go thru the whole seminar. I just finished all my psy,cardio, gastro and endocrine evaluatios and testsm I start my liquid diet on the 16th. I am on blood pressure meds and diabetes meds. My mom had a stroke at 53 and my dad had quadruple bypass sugery at 60. I was 274 lbs now at 258 just trying to get used to liquids and exercising everyday. I am ready for my life change. I also have two kids and know how hard it is but for the first time in my life I have to put myself first for all of our sakes. Let's keep in touch. Maritza Morovis88@embarqmail.com
  4. Hello. My surgey date is 2/23. I also am so excited. I have been in so many websites on lapband that I am on overload. I am not really nervous I am hopeful and greatful for this new start on life. This website forum has helped a lot also. It is great to read all the different challenges and success stories. Current weight and goal weight? 268/currently 260/i would be happy at 199, goal weight should be 145 #7. What was your deciding factor for having this surgery? Health condition and family history. I have been through two appeals to insurance and finally decided with my husband and drs that I could not wait any longer so went self pay. #7. Do you have the support of family and friends? absolute yes! #8. Concerns and questions? not this time.

  10. I finally took it out of my 401k. I figured if I keep eating myself to death and spending much more money on prescriptions, office visits and sick time. I took a hardship withdrawl and with the letters from my doctors had no problems taking it out. good luck..

  13. NewMechelle, You are doing wonderful. I can't even imagine 63 pounds less..that is what my child weighs. Keep your faith. Try to think about something else. Like how blessed you are and how healthier you are because of your brave choice. It is so worth it. I have not had my surgery yet, but I have been reading a lot of blogs lately.
