You should call your Dr. you my have an infection,I had an infection for three weeks befor it came out,if it warm to touch and painful you should. Good luck

Fri I am having my port put back. I was banded on Jan 12 down 35 lbs, this has been a great journey so far with 1 problem my port got infected.I am off all my meds.... I am so blessed.......:thumbup:

I am getting a new port on april 16.I had my port removed do to infection. I was just wondering if any one knows if the sugery wiil be like the first? I have been doing great and want to keep it up!!! No more meds for dieabeties,liver is working great, down 33lb walking 3-5 miles a day.

Please,Please,Please, focus on how good u feel. The scale should not predict how u are doing, this can be very up setting to most people including myself.... Good Luck

I was told to get no less than50 no mors than 70. my weight is 183 right. Hope that helps:cool2:

I had to have my port out because of this 2 weeks ago. Dont wait because it will be worse, I feel good now and will have my port back in april.....

HI I also take cymbalta I get my mouth wet then relax my mouth and take very little water. This has workede for me i am 8 weeks out, just take things slow,hope this was helpful:thumbup:

It is normal to feel scared.You are about to change your life for the good.Just remember the band is a tool, my Dr said the first 4-6 weeks r about healing not loosing and do what the Dr says.I was banded on Jan 12 off 2 of my meds!!! lost 32 lbs. I had one set back,port was infected,I am better now. God Bless:thumbup:

I just started my journey, I have had great success so far with one small set back my port had to be taken out today because of infection:sad:. I found out today i have to have my port out due to infection. I have been doing so good,down 27 lbs feeling great.. now sad:sad: I love my band Dr said one month to heal then he will put port back.:scared2:

I have a infection at my incission site where my port is. Went to the Dr.yesterday he gave me strong meds, Said if this did not work he will have to take my port out,one month healing then he will replace it on the otherside. I have had great success with my band. I was banded on the 12 of Dec. No more dibeties meds,stomach meds,down 27 lbs!!!! Ifeel great Has any on else had this problem. Praying meds work:thumbup:

I was banded on 1/12/10. My experence was a good one I have lost 25lbs,blood sugars under 100 in am ,no stomach meds. I go for my first fill Feb 25. The only problem i have had is a small infection in my sticthes. I would do this all over again. God Bless:thumbup:

This is all part of recovery. Dont be hard on your self,Drink water, walk a little,try to relax, you just had a operation you will feel better it took me 6 days to feel myself. I was banded on Jan ,12. I still dont feel like eating some times but i am doing great. God Bless:thumbup:

Hi my name is Jean, I was banded on Jan,12. I am so thankful for my sister and all her help.She was banded on Dec,30. she paved the way for me to follow,the first 4 days were very hard for me(reaction to pain meds) she came to my house several times a day making sure i was drinking, and emotional ok.My best friend made soup(Thank God) that is what got me through. I have a great Dr and staff that helps us.I feel GREAT,Blood sugar below 100,stop taking stomach meds, sleeping good and started to excerise (walking). I am sooooo glad that I had a lapband:thumbup:I would not have been able to do this with out all the support of my family and friends.Thank you God for them:smile2:

Hi I also have port pain on and off when i bend over. my sister was banded 2 weeks before me,she also has port pain when she excerise, it is still early in recovery i think it is normal to have some discomfort:rolleyes: take care God Bless
