Chickenhearted

Okay, so I am really getting scared about the lap band, perhaps it is part of the process but I have been reading posts about swollen stomaches, and erosion ect. I am having second thoughts about the procedure and am getting a little freaked out. Can anyone help? Thanks:scared2:

It is normal to feel scared. You are about to change your life for the good.Just remember the band is a tool, my Dr said the first 4-6 weeks r about healing not loosing and do what the Dr says.I was banded on Jan 12 off 2 of my meds!!! lost 32 lbs. I had one set back, port was infected,I am better now.

God Bless:thumbup:

Everytime you step out your door you risk getting run over by a car and yet you still go out that door. I'd guess your chances of getting hit by a car are greater than band erosion or any of the other nightmares you can come up with.

Just do it. :)

I felt nervouse too, but I can say that I was very happy and surprised that it is going so well. Can anyone tell me how to start a new thread? I have been searching the website and can't figure it out. Thank you!

go to 'home", click on the forum you want to post in, then in the upper left will be a place that says " new thread "

Would you guys believe that about an hour after I posted I got my approval letter from insurance. Well, surgery scheduled for March 22. Please wish me luck and prayers won't hurt either.:)

It is normal. I even canceled my first surgery date. After 6 months of pre-op nurtitional counseling! I finally had it done last week. You will be fine! Good Luck!
