Port Pain?

I am 8 days post op and it still is sore where my port is. It also hurts to try to bend over. Is this normal? If so, for how long will this last? Thanks for helping!

I had the same pains until just this past week. I was banded on the 30th of December.

It just seemed like one day they went away. Mine hurt to bend over, even when I was sitting at my desk. Hopefully yours will be the same way.

My surgery was January 15th and I still have port pain. It is bearable though unless I bend to turn awkwardly. Some days it hurts more than others. I've heard it will hurt for about a month. Remember, you are still healing....

Hi I also have port pain on and off when i bend over. my sister was banded 2 weeks before me,she also has port pain when she excerise, it is still early in recovery i think it is normal to have some discomfort:rolleyes: take care God Bless

I am 3+ months out and still have that pain off and on, the Dr. said it was normal.

Thank You all so very much. I feel much better about it now. I will quit worrying about it now. God bless you all in your journey to better health through weight loss.

My Surgery was on Dec 4th and I still have pain... Mine hurts when I walk so I started wearing a girdle about 2-3 weeks ago and it makes a big difference. I can at least get through the day without grabbing my stomach when I walk which for me was weird because only three people know I've had the surgery and so I can't just go walking around holding my stomach.... My Daughter noticed once and I told her I had gas but I don't think I could get away with that story every single time I see her... Good Luck... Not sure when the pain will stop... Mine is still present when I don't wear the girdle...
