  1. Chris, I am so happy for you to have a band at age 19. You are taking control of food and you are right about all the stuff you are saving yourself from. Bad knees for just one. I had to be so careful about walking . Now I can go 6 miles a day without hurting. Good luck, edie
  2. You are a little person now!!! edie
  3. I thought it would be fun to have a thread for new food products. I am recommending *****Lipton White tea with rasberry******* I have only tried the regular . It comes in sf too. Use this site to also thumbs up or thumps down for example. I have found it the cheapest at Sams. edie
  4. My town , Owensboro Ky, just had a one year anniversary of smoke free businesses that allowed anyone under 18 to enter. One year ago all the businesses complained that it would hurt business. They did a big article after one year and those same businesses had to admit it had helped business and most of those owners had quit and wanted to quit smoking. Big turn around. I love it . I never even wanted to sit close to the smoking section. edie
  5. I would have been able to drive after 3 days. I waited and did what my dr suggested "5" days. I think it is really not a safety issue on your part but if someone hits you with a car even at a slow speed what it could do to your "new" surgery. edie
  6. Hello Aver, I would eat a lot of sf banana popsicles. Be strong. edie
  7. Celebration time!! Hope your journey goes as well as mine has. Good luck, edie
  8. Just keep in mind how many calories. I suggest 1000-1100 per day. I would fill up at the end of evening with sf popsicles (around 30 calories) . I would not count these. Don't know why ... that is just the way I did it. edie

  14. I can honestly say my Mother has never said anything bad about my father. I think she is strong and a good role model for me. When my father asked who are you going to choose me or your mother ...I of course picked Mom with MS and he said ok, I no longer have a daughter. That was the end of our relationship back in 1982. So with my experience (lol) hold your tongue and you will be repaid in the long run no matter how MUCH it hurts or burns you up now. Try not to cry to your son , I understand you need a shoulder to lean on but that is putting TOO MUCH on your son. Find your help somewhere but not with your children . You are suppose to be their soft place (Dr Phil) to land. Just MY thoughts and opinion, edie
  15. I use Carnation instant breakfast . Good luck, edie

  22. I was a good dieter. I was better at putting it back on since age 14. I was tired of being the fat woman . I just got fed up at being fed. I was willing to give up volumes of food. I admit it isn't as fun as it used to be going to the grocery store. On the other hand I love my back fat being gone. You have to decide if you want to been smaller or eat 4 pieces of chicken at once. edie
  23. If you can't tell.... you don't have it. edie
  24. I started with 1/2 mile at 35 minutes. I had built up to 4 miles a day at 1 hour 10 or 15 minutes. Now that I am goal I have been able to cut back to around 2 miles a day. edie
