Introduction and Concerns
Welcome to the forum IGDiva. I also planned on getting the band until I did some research. Too many problems. I will be getting the sleeve next week. Charger, from my understanding you will start walking later the same day as surgery. Most Drs. also use the new leg band things that velcro around your lower legs. They tighten and release on your legs with an automatic air pump.

How do you manage the trip home?

Why I chose the Sleeve--better late than never!
Good Luck Millie and please keep us posted on your progress. Thank you for posting your story. I almost got the band till I came to this forum and read stories like yours. My insurance would pay for the band or by-pass. So I decided to self pay. I'm sorry about your pain and hope you get relief soon.

Ivy, Welcome to our little sleeve group. Are you packed? I'm all ready to go. I will come around and visit on the 30th when I have my pre-op. It is going to be so much fun to meet everyone. We can call it a pajama party I guess, with everyone walking around in thier robes. LOL See you soon.

How much more can I take?
Daisy, I'm so sorry about your little terrier. I have had pets through the years and it is so hard to loose them. When one of my toy poodles died 3 years ago, I cried for 2 days. I still have one and like you, when she is gone I don't think I will get another one. It's too heartbreaking on these old nerves. I'm sending hugs your way.
